Everyone and their mother has the potential to be a "DJ" all you have to do is play records and switch according to the atmosphere given off by the crowd. (Although great DJ's go beyond this)
In some instrumentalist circles, Turntablism is put on a similar level to playing an instrument because of the intricacies involved..A turntablist has nothing to do with the sound appreciation aspect of vinyl or Cd's…They manipulate the turntables and mixers exclusively…Although some are kinda deep in their vinyl choice so they can amplify their ability as turntablists.
Fatman Scoop is a DJ.
DJ Babu is a turntablist…But still a better DJ than Fatman scoop.
