MIND is an innovative DJ/VJ combo comprised of two core members: Dennis Rocha and Leonardo Schenkel, who hail from Porto Alegre in Brazil. And they recently sent in this clip of their music and video show in full effect at Brazil’s Save Club… Together MIND produces and performs audio-visual shows, often using DVJs, CDJs, keyboards and laptops, where music and the vibe are visually represented in the mix by video. In fact, so very into their art are Dennis and Leonardo that during live shows they even wear computer monitor ‘helmets’ which also display their video output– check it out!

DJ Cosmo’s entry to the DJawards Bedroom DJ Competition
DJ Cosmo (aka Konstantin Cosmo) from Ukraine sent in this video that secured him a slot in the top 15 finalists of 2009’s DJawards.com Bedroom DJ Competition. Cosmo used CDJ-800MK2s, a DJM-800, the EFX-1000, and his PC with Ableton. He connected the DJM-800 with the PC via MIDI, and mapped all the functions he needed in Ableton to the DJM.

Dragging myself to PLASA
You know how I’ve been saying that PLASA is dead to me and that The BPM show is the new king of DJ shows in the UK, and how last year was my last year of going? Well it seems that I can’t stay away.
