Pioneer DDJ-T1 Traktor Controller FIRST LOOK | NAMM 2011 | ProAudioStar.com

By justin On January 12, 2011 Under DJ GEAR NEWS

Pioneer DDJ-T1 Traktor DJ Controller www.proaudiostar.com Here’s our exclusive look at the Pioneer DDJ-T1 from inside NAMM. Pioneer has already released a feature video on it’s Serato counterpart the DDJ-S1, and now here’s your chance to get up close and personal with the four channel Traktor design. It looks as though it really does emulate the feel of a Pioneer CDJ, with similar button style and layout, while at the same time manifesting specific functions of Traktor into it’s a layout with the Effects and Fliter knobs. The layout of the mixer looks extremely intuitive and I’d expect no less from Pioneer. Cueing and assigning effects to the channels is clearly indicated by the light up buttons and the “master” and “sync” buttons look particularly useful when keeping track of your sync function in Traktor. Overall not that far off from playing on a pair of Pioneer CDJ-2000′s and a DJM-800. You’ll miss your built in effects if you’re used to having them on the mixer but if you’re a serious Traktor user already or looking to dive in deeper this could get you there in a more compact and portable unit.

get a traktor control s4, it has 4 channels, sample banks and is soon to add traktor 2 free upgrade. also you can plug in your cdj or technics and use as a mixer. in april you will have full dvs controll over your cdj or technics all through the s4. now thats something special. all for less than pioneers.

Shit these are really practical! I like it! I might end up buying these if I hear good about them… I’m still thinking of CDJ 900 + DJM 700 or 800 but this might solve everything! Great product pioneer!!!

@Max16032 the best deal is the denon mc 6000 way better than the pioneer, more function , better sound quality and then the best of the best 720 $ only and it smash all controllers on the market for real

I think that the best deal you can get right now is the Kontrol S4. The VMS4 has problems and a lower-end version of Traktor, this DDJ-T1 is overpriced for what you get (typical from Pioneer). Denon DN-MC6000 looks good but it comes with a LE version of Virtual DJ.

The S4 is a good deal because it’s not too expensive (like Pioneer) and not too cheap (like A.A.). And recently, S4 users will be able to upgrade to the COMPLETE Traktor Pro 2. I think that’s a good value for the money you pay.

@littlebike94 The only reason it is 500 dollars more if because they have extra space to slide your laptop through. (sarcasm)

not convinced… I’d much rather use traktor kontrol x1 with a usb soundcard & a djm 800 as an external mixer.. with full use of effects….. and I very much doubt the sound quality if u were to scratch one of the jog wheels… I’m sure it would sound nothin like traktor scratch pro

@tump3dor No man, don’t believe rumors, go to dj tech tools webisite. They have an entire forum section dedicated to the S4. This is how rumors start on the internet. People are stupid and believe anything, dont be a part of that.
