@djpumpinpaul basically, you can scratch back and mix with the music whilst its still being played. therefore when you let go of the slip mat, no matter how much you play about with it, the music’ll still play!

What is the slip mode? You went way too fast explaining this to the DJs

Question, I love the feel of the DJM 800 and how stiff the knobs are, any comparison? or is just loosey goosey?

@donpoulos – I stand corrected, sorry for my mistake. I had went to a music, audio, and visual conference earlier this year. Not NAMM, and they had a prototype model I’m guessing now. I checked on the Pioneer site and you’re correct.

@donpoulos – I am a fan of Traktor more, but I agree with you. The DDJ – S1 is better intergrated for Serato Itch than I think the equally impressive DDJ – T1 is for Traktor. But you’re wrong about the XLR in and out. The DDJ – T1 has that too. But when it comes to it all….I think the NS6 is the better product when you put it on the level of these type of controllers. But if given I would want the DDJ – S1 with Traktor Pioneer Edition (Traktor Pro). The DDJ – S1 just seems more impressive ..

@tranjohn slip mode is where you scratch or hold the jog wheel, and when you let go, the audio output picks up where it would have been if you hadn’t touched/held the jog. watch the skratchworx cdj 900 demo

The NS6 has “skip” mode which does the same thing.
