@tump3dor You should only plug in speakers to the S4 when it’s in use. The S4 isn’t designed to take the place of your PC’s soundcard, it merely works as an interface with the Traktor Pro S4 software. I hope this helps! Thanks for the comments.

Adding to my last comment: I am just a bit confused that if the controller has it’s own soundcard and my Logitech speakers use my PC’s soundcard. So I would need to plug my speakers straight to the S4 controller and use it as my PC’s new soundcard? Then for example all the games I play would have their sounds come through the S4′s soundcard, right? But then I would need to have the S4 power on always when the PC is on. I think I am making this more complicated than it really is. :P

If I buy Traktor S4 controller and I would use my Logitech Z4 speakers. Will I need other speakers than the ones on my PC? To hear the music from my speakers normally but also the cues from the headphones (which will be plugged to the controller at the time, ofc)? ‘Cos I have understood that the music can come out of the PC speakers but I can’t hear the cues through USB -> Controller -> Headphones? Too much text but the main question: do I need other speakers?

@muaythaibest1 I don’t own either yet, but why does the Vms4 suck so bad? What makes the mc6000 so great?

@DumpyPumaProduction I guess you don’t need a booth out. I guess you don’t care if your unit is a stand alone mixer. In case your software stops working. I guess you don’t need a good mic section. I guess you don’t mind buying a mostly plastic unit. I guess you don’t need xlr out’s. Virtual is not becoming obsolete. I can do everything including video. Tracktor still does not have this feature. The Mc6000 does Virtual & Tracktor. Whichever you prefer. Never let a software co. design hardware.

@YoshiExcel Neither the TT1or S4 has a booth out. Neither one is a stand alone mixer. Also the mic section on the s4 is not complete, along with no xlr out’s. The TT1′s mic section is not complete either, and does not have xlr out’s. The only unit that has the most quality is the Denon. It is all metal. Also Virtual dj allows you to video mix. Tracktor still does not have this feature. Virtual does everything and more. If you don’t like it the Denon does Trackotor too.

Can I use Traktor Pro ( which is better) in the ddj t1 instead of the Pioneer ddj t1 traktor edition? Last doubt, a dedicated booth output, what is it used for ?Thanks :)

@hoppinhouse No, you’re not able to run two laptops on one controller. The best way to tag is for another DJ to bring a jump drive and just plug in to your laptop. Thanks for the question.
