Haha Ty at the 7:18 mark you called it a DJM600. Hey nice video, I am interested in getting one to match my Denon 3700 CDJs.

@NOMINAMIA Great question! Sadly the DN-X1600 does not have a separate Filter for each channel. You would need to take a look at something like the Pioneer DJM-900nexus. It has separate effects available for every channel in addition to the main effects section that can be assigned to any channel.

Hey great review buddy! I have a question I see the filter effect, but does this mixer have an actual seperate filter knob, if so is there one for each channel or must you switch between the channels ? THanks in advance

Is the loop function a loop roll or just a looper?

@JBGCREW We actually have a video on this mixer in a 19″ rack mount, if that’s the type of rack you’re referring to. Here’s the tricky part though. That rack was actually for an X1700 as it turns out. Denon doesn’t have an X1600 19″ rack mount, but as we speak we are going to try to retrofit the 1700 rack with a 1600 mixer and see if it works. Also we are going to try another manufacturer’s product to see if it will work. Stay tuned!

@K1LLGANNON There are actually many features on the 1700 that set it apart from the 700, including the effects processor, ability to assign MIDI & Audio separately, sound card & quality, digital inputs, etc. But to answer your first question, your 700 (which also of course has MIDI) is just fine for many DJ applications.

So basically, if I have little to no interest in midi at all something from the pioneer line would probably be better for me? This looks like a really clean mixer but I’m all hardware, no software, and I just bought a DJM 700. It is magical. I mean when you remove all the midi and usb, isn’t this just a DJM 700?

@gian0pa adjust incoming signal to 2 of line fader (use matrix input knob)..

then cut mids by 9 in one of the channels (it will be beat chanel)
leave just mids on 2nd of channels.

now you can assign any filter to channel with mids and play with it as you want.

can i let’s say apply an effect only on certain frequencies with parameter/filter knob?
let’s say i want a delay only on the mids and highs, but not on the lows

Can the onboard effects be applied to music coming from Taktor Pro? Meaning if the music is PC based and not CD player based, could I still utilize the onboard effects as well as the effects from Traktor Pro?
